As a part of 3rd year in the university it was mandatory for all students to undergo a Summer Internship Program (SIP) related to their major/minor. This held 4 credits and we where graded by both the employer and the university mentor on work done. That summer I interned for a store that worked with providing a holistic llifestyle for its customers. From spirituality to clothing, shelter and food, they breathe, live and dance all forms of the word organic.

As a part of my work there I ended up designing some product labels and packaging materials. Some labels were tried out, those that were more economical in the long run, some were kept in the wish list.
These labels were tried out once but given the accessibility issue in the mountains, it was difficult to print them as and when needed. After which it was decided that we'd design things that could be printed in b/w from the inhouse printer on simple a4 sheets.
I was also given a chance to work on packaging for some essential oils, cloth bags and handbags.
These packaging designs are still in use.
Overall, this was one of the most meaningful experiences ever and I made some friends for life.
